Makenna and Tyler (Pines at Genesee)

Makenna and Tyler had a beautiful winter wedding, we asked them a few questions about their relationship and wedding day..     

                           In your words, How did you and Tyler meet?

Tyler and I met in Bozeman, Montana during our freshman year of college. I was 18 and tyler was 19 at the time. He was playing video games in our best man Hale’s dorm room. I was actually encouraging my friend that was with me to talk to him because she thought he was cute. However, Tyler ended up getting my number instead and we have been inseparable ever since. 

 What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?

My most favorite part of the wedding was reading the note from Tyler right before the ceremony. Because we both have stage fright we decided not to read vows out loud and instead wrote our promises to each other via these letters. I almost couldn’t get through it. 

Where there any mishaps?

Surprisingly the day went pretty smooth with the exception of minor issues. We decided to do a unity candle, but forgot a candle. I also almost forgot to give the ring bearer the rings. Mostly all my fault really. The funniest parts were definitely the speeches. They did a phenomenal job. 

 Do you have any advice for a future bride to be/or groom before their wedding?

The day goes by in a flash so it is important to take in every moment. I made it a point to look at all the small details of the wedding including the decore, the dessert, the foods, the service, everything!  Tyler and I also made it a point yo separate ourselves from the hustle and bustle of evening to have a moment just to ourselves outside. I actually received this advice prior to our wedding and it made the day even more special.
