When I envision a beautiful, Colorado, September wedding, this is what comes to mind. Warm day, cool night, golden sunset, rustic details, twinkling lights, I couldn’t have pictured it better.
What a great day to get married. Both Kristen and Jason were calm with hearts full, taking in every moment of the day. This always so wonderful to see because you know the focus is on what is important; celebrating their love with friends and family.
Kristen, Jason and I met for a glass of wine a couple months before the big day. They let me know that their love story began on a dance floor years ago at a mutual friends wedding. It also came up a few times that I, as their photographer, would need to be vigilant on the dance floor because it would be a sight to see… They did not disappoint. Kristen came in hot with a hard shoulder roll, eyes locked on her new hubby as she shuffled towards him and Jason, had a SASSY little leg move before he transitioned into his show stopping dance moves. They were in good company with the rest of their guests, you could tell this group LIVES for wedding dance parties.. and I WAS FOR IT. I actually had to resist getting in on some of the the dance circles throughout the night.
From the beginning of their relationship to the beginning of their marriage, it was all left out on the dance floor. Life will always be sweeter and full of laughter with these two side by side.
Cheers to you K&J and your endless dance parties to come (give me a call, I’ll join in the next dance circle ;)) ~V
