Betsy and Justin were married on a beautiful winter day at the Manor House, it had just snowed so the two had a winter wonderland. I asked Betsy a couple of questions about her day!
Congrats to these two love birds!
In your words, how did you and Justin meet?
Justin and i met at training when we both joined a new company, we were walking past each other in the hallway and he was whistling a song that i knew but couldn’t think of where it was from so i asked – it was Kill Bill. A week later Hurricane Irma came through south west FL so we were evacuated, he had never been to Colorado so he suggested we road trip there!
How did Justin propose?
Justin and i were on a 10 day Africa trip, on day 4 we woke up at 5 AM for a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti. While we were up there Justin tapped me on the shoulder and was down on 1 knee and asked me to marry him! 🙂 I, of course, said yes and we landed the balloon and went for a Champagne breakfast with our parents.
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
There were so many, but if i had to pick 1 i think it would be Justins speech. He made it all up on the spot and it was so sweet. (And his mini strip tease before the garter removal)
Were there any funny moments to be remembered forever about your day?
Were there any mishaps? My flower girl ran out of petals before she even made it to the pews, so she spent a few minuets picking up all the ones that she had already thrown. Eventually her dad came and got her to i could walk, it was hilarious. And, MY DRESS WAS TOO LONG! i thought i had gone to enough fittings but when i tried to walk down the aisle i started to trip, not ideal. Also i was not prepared at how destroyed the dress would get that night, from it dragging on the ground, to people spilling red wine on it, it was a mess. However dry cleaners can do wonders and it looks as good as new.. SO onto the next question.
Do you have any advice for a future bride to be/or groom before their wedding?
ENJOY the day! Little things will happen, things might go wrong but in the end it will be exactly what it is supposed to be and those crazy moments will make for great memories! AND hire Casey! 🙂
