January 7, 2021
Danielle and Austin were set to get married at the Pines at Genesee in September. With the ever changing climate of 2020, they had to pivot in their initial plans. I got a phone call from Danie and Austin during the summer months and they asked, “How do you feel about Manhattan… Manhattan, Kansas.” They had me at Kansas.
Since Austin is from KS, it was a perfect place to say I do. They had the ceremony and reception at Liquid Art Winery, a stunning estate with long rows of green grape vines and extensive views of rolling hills in the distance. This particular October day was HOT…Kansas HOT. I had to work quickly and effectively with the pre-ceremony photos to get everyone back inside to cool it down.
Danie and her Dad walked down a long vineyard path before she turned the corner where her Groom saw her for the first time. His reaction was perfect. A beaming smile as he held back welling tears. He couldn’t take his eyes off his beautiful Bride.
I cannot begin to explain how much fun Danie and Austin are. They both have a great sense of humor and zest for the moment. Then you get them together, from there, it is non stop laughter, and its VERY contagious. At the end of the night I felt like I was apart of the family. I can truly say that I gained a great friendship with these two through this unexpected adventure and I could not be more grateful.
Cheers to you Danie and Austin and the wonderful unexpected adventures to come, I know you will have plenty. ~V
