Erika and Nate got their second shot at a celebration due to the delays of the past year and they made the most out of every moment.
The ceremony literally took place on the top of a mountain. It was breathtaking. The risk you run with a peak wedding, is those swift mountain storms. The intimidating clouds in the distance threatened us for a while, until.. mid-way through the ceremony, mother nature let loose. You imagine this moment being a little stressful for the bride, groom and guests, but… with these two, they embraced what they couldn’t control, and chose to laugh and dance through it. This will tell you a lot about this couple, what mattered to them was that they were getting married on top of a beautiful mountain and their best friends and family were there to support and celebrate them. No rain could dampen this parade.
In true Colorado fashion, the rest of the night was lovely, mild… and dry. These two took everything in stride, just like they do in the rest of their relationship.
What a perfect time to include a cliche quote…
“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.” I believe this fully and know that Erika and Nate do too.
Cheers to all of your dances, especially the ones in the rain.
