This wedding day did not go exactly as planned, but not in the way that you might expect! With not a ton of notice, a blizzard hit the Castle Rock area and in about 24 hours, the entire city was covered with snow! Shane and Breanna had planned for a beautiful 80-degree wedding day with an outside ceremony, but plans changed!
Luckily, the Oaks at Plum Creek has a beautiful indoor ceremony site, which made the change very simple to execute. The team at The Oaks got to work and made the changes and created the indoor ceremony for the couple and it worked out just perfectly.
The day started with Breanna and her bridesmaids getting ready in the bridal suite. It’s always so much fun getting to watch the bride or groom and their closest friends on their wedding day. I especially love a good dress reveal to bridesmaids! There were absolutely tears when Breanna’s bridesmaids saw her in her dress for the first time. Breanna also did a first look with her dad and stepdad. Both of those moments were so incredibly special and it was so much fun to be able to capture them for the bride to have to look back on!
Finally, it was time for the ceremony and the room was filled with the couple’s dearest loved ones. Shane’s face when Breanna walked down the aisle probably made us all tear up. He was so full of joy and excitement and emotion, that it was hard to hold back tears at that moment.
After they said “I do!” and had their first kiss, we took some family photos and headed to the reception! It was such a great and memorable day, for many reasons! I’m so glad that the blizzard didn’t take away from the joy and love that was felt by everyone during this celebration. Wishing you two a lifetime of love and happiness!!
