As wedding photographers, one of the most precious moments we have the privilege to document is the love between the newlyweds. The couple’s photos are not only a reflection of your special day, but they also become cherished memories that will be treasured for a lifetime. After decades in the business, we have expert tips and insights on how to capture breathtaking couple’s photos that perfectly encapsulate the love, joy, and romance of a wedding day.

How do we not feel awkward in our photos?

This is one of the most common worries we hear. When this concern is brought up, it typically means you’ve never had your photos taken professionally before or that you just feel nervous in front of a camera. We always say “It doesn’t matter!” We assure you:

• You won’t be stiffly posed or nervously standing in an uncomfortable position long enough to wonder what your hands are meant to do. We will guide you on where to put your hands, how to stand, and fix any rogue hairs.

• We will also get you two to interact and ask you questions that bring out your personality and the love that you two have for each other.

• We will never try to change you into something you aren’t. Instead, we will give you the freedom to be the fullest version of yourself because we believe that’s how beautiful imagery emerges.

• You’ll leave with hundreds of photographs capturing your love for each other. Believe us when we say you’re going to look amazing!

Our job is to get your relaxed and interacting so you don’t think too much about your photos. We will make sure your arms are guided, hair is perfect and you two are relaxed and able to enjoy the moment.

• Lean in towards each other

• Keep your hands busy – hold hands, wrap your arms around each other, hands on bouquet, hands in pockets

• Face each other. Touch foreheads or kiss.

• Create connection in your eyes

• Walk and talk – chat about your favorite part of the wedding day or your favorite memory together

• Don’t think to much about the camera – be natural!

The most important thing is to have fun and be yourselves! Laugh, dance, and show off your love for each other. Your photos will look the best if you’re natural and at ease.
